i would describe my style as jump up breakbeat, although i do make down tempo tracks which have a dark edge.I try not to make the same track twice- always trying new ideas and rhythms.I began making music with drum machines and samplers then moved on to software programs such as rebirth and fruity loops. I currently use reason and cool edit for mastering.anyway, thats me.so enjoy the sounds!
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Jedeye’s first taste of the scene started back in 1992 in Bradford, West Yorkshire, where, as a teenager he first heard the distinctive sound of jungle techno through a pirate radio station. Until then, music had little or no effect on him. This was about to change and his desire for this new music became stronger as time went on. He eventually became hooked on raves and clubs, travelling long distances to see his favourite DJs. Another milestone came at a venue in South Yorkshire, called Vibealite. There, he realised what it was like to be involved in a full scale jungle event. He says, "There were about five of us. We waited in the queue for a good hour and after the body searches, climbed some dimly lit stairs leading to arena ONE. As we walked through the door the bass hit us like a tidal wave. I'd never heard anything like it. My whole body shook. The crowd was going mental we were used to glowsticks and all that, but this lot were just swaying and doing weird tribal shit - all synchronized. " From that point on, jedeye was hooked on jungle. Still raving in 1996, a move was on the cards. He and his family moved from Bradford to Blackpool, on the West coast. After a few months he decided, together with a few friends he'd made, to put on a jungle night, and called it COSMIC TRIGGER. This is how he met and became friends with BMH Squad founder member, Adam Beattie. Jedeye comments, "Yeah, Adam came round with a demo - I gave it a listen and booked him. His style was a bit harder than what we had been used to or had in mind - but we just thought f**k it, 'av it, Blackpool! The turnout was average but the night went great for all the crew, and the contacts they made would become invaluable. Adam went on to form BMH and got signed. Jedeye focussed on producing and writing. What you hear on this site is part of his hard work
