Jean Valjean
Jean Valjean was forged from the creative drive of John Bell. John has been a singer/songwriter for over 35 years. He is currently putting together a new batch of music he calls 'dark rock', with a sound somewhat similar to 'Evanescense'. His songs from the past range from psychedelic folk to romantic lyrical with some country thrown in for good measure. All of it is quality music. Check out a few, you won't regret it!
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We haven't played live in a while, but we do enjoy it. We've been doing mostly studio work recently.
Your musical influences
We do several styles of music, ranging from melodic acoustic with 3-part harmony, to what we are calling 'Dark Rock' which blends a strong electric-acoustic fuzz guitar sound with dark melodies and thumping rhythms.
What equipment do you use?
A pair of 15" peavey cabinets, an old Fender Twin amp, a POD and a Yamaha keyboard.
