J Dubbz and Co
It began about 4 years ago. Me and my boy Ron (Big Red) decided it would be cool to try and make our own beats and music. I had already written poems since I was a kid so I gave a try at rapping over makeshift beats. I Love Hip Hop and the way you can express yourself with words and emotions over a funky drum kick. So every one of our cds features a different growing sound. From the nintendo sounding first release to our current bass thumping energy boost "Recess" It's been a journey but the Major base of Emcees remain as J-Dubbz (producer), Mach1, Truth505, Emcee Poo, and newcomer LuCy LaNe.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
The Investment - My first cd made in 2004. With the help of MC Poo, Mach 1, Big Red, Osmosis, and Texas Alexis. I made a cd with crazy nintendo type beats and the content was nothing short of hilarious. It had more of a dance feel then the hip hop i usually listen to, but i was heavily into listening to 70's music. So it rubbed off. Funny one of the remarks i got for this one was "My brother loves your cd" i was like hell yea that's great, i thought for a momment knowing my cd was a little immature "How old is he?" i asked. "13" ahh yes my target auidence. Basically a lot of poop, fart, anal lube jokes! lol "Goosebumps" "Good Times" and "Lou's song" are a few of my favs from "the Investment"
Second Nature - Ah hard work and new MC's will turn out one hell of a cd. Mach 1 and me did most of the work on this one. From Jan to now we've had about 50 or more sessions logged in. So mad props! MCPoo returns and Adam, Mississippi, ..88, Erik, and Ryan McVey grab the mic for this one. First track has u dancin into "Orient Exspress" then let's ya kick back and relax into "Tounge in Cheek" and after u smoke your stash u can get down with the "Indica Shake" and that's only in the first 5 songs. 20 tracks 4 this one and a lot of work. It's really second nature for us to be making music. So i wanted to make a disc with a song for evryone. So much respect and love for the MC's that helped out and EVERYONE BE SURE TO LOOK THROUGH MY FRIENDS LIST TO FIND THE OTHER MC'S I SPIT WITH. Show some love!
Hip Hop encounters of the Third Kind 40 tracks slimmed down to 21. With Mach 1 in MN, me and truth 505 and mississippi continued making music. With the help of some new homies and old this disc has got it all. Dance, dark, happy, chillax hip hop. MC Poo returns with some fruit loops and even Mach 1 comes to visit and taer up some tracks. Live mixing and hot beats. A lot of fun to make. ft songs like "Domino's Party" "Twilight Zone" and "Napalm" Fucking alien shit lol.
