I'm a solo artist, and have recorded four albums since 2003, and I'm currently working on a rock opera as the fifth album. You can see jazzraptor.com for more information.Band/artist history
At this point, I just keep putting out original music. "Evolution of Jazzraptor" in 2003. "Raptorgnosis" in 2005. "Tame Until Hungry" in 2007. And "Jazzraptor's Secret" in 2009.Have you performed in front of an audience?I play publicly when I get a chance to. I have the unfortunate inability to say "no" to any question of involvement regarding music! I'm in a chorus and a small close harmony a capella jazz vocal group called "Full House". I've also got a new band called DreamCycle and the Jam Stallions. (See jamstallions.com)
I've been in dozens of pick up bands, and I really enjoy playing with new people.
Your musical influences
That's a huge question! Paul Simon, Jeff Beck, Beck, Third Eye Blind, Jimi Hendrix, Jon Hendricks, Sarah McLachlan, Santana, Linkin Park, Coldplay, Mose Allison, TajMahal, Avril Lavigne, Yes, Isley Brothers, Eminem, Amy Mann . . .
I really like it all. What equipment do you use?
I've got nine guitars right now. My steady electic is a Tom Anderson strat body. I've been using a Gibson J180 as my main acoustic guitar.Anything else?
Nada.Hi !
Cool music indeed !
Check out our music also and drop us a line to our messageboard when you have time. Thanks
TomiHi! Streaming your page as I am writing. I just fell in love with your jazz - progrock/pop mix. It´s just all there. (What a weird and beautiful song "Nirvana" is. the jazzpiano intro, and then all of a sudden it turns into prog pop! Oops. What a sudden ending THAT was. anyway, just wanted to stop by and say that I am very impressed.
NAD (also a one man band)Hi Ronnie:
Thanks for listening. I took a listen to a song of yours; sounds kool.
I don't really care about the charts. There's zero correlation between good music and chart success. People with access to a ton of computers do well on the charts; people without languish.
It's naive to think the soundclick charts mean anything. Business insiders know the soundclick charts mean diddlysquat.
Soundclick is still cool for other reasons.Hey Jazzraptor!
I just bumped into your tune at the Prog-Rock charts and realized it's been a long time since I visit your page and I see you have many songs and a trio formed :)
I have finally started producing songs with my PC and Cakewalk Guitar Tracks pro. I would like to hear your thoughts on this track: "On The Run".
Listening to "Bohemian Soul",I really dig that Jazzy change at 2:42 ,really didn't expect it, gives the song a really cool twist!!! excellent Sax!! and trumpets, drums, bass!!! all around excellent jazz combo!!! and the mix from that "Jethro Tullish" beginning is amazing. One thing, the Vox is not "Ian Andersonish" it is 100% better,,,very good singer! Who sings again? All comments (8)
