Nu Jazz is a blend of traditional jazz elements with electronic music, funk, soul. A fusion of jazz improvisation and electronic production techniques, resulting in a fresh and experimental sound.

The jazz defector is  just me and my laptop. I'm studio based and  at the moment don't do much live playing due to pressure of work. The music that I'm composing at the moment is very much influenced by Fusion and Nu jazz. Musical influences are  too wide and numerous to mention but I'm listening to a lot of Nu Jazz from norway at the moment.

G. Allen combines jazzy vibes, Rhodes, strings, and synthesizers over modern electronic rhythms.

Inspired by such artist as Rae & Christian, Jazzanova, Kyoto Jazz Massive, Les Gammas, Minus 8, and many others of the electronic jazz scene, G. Allen decided to take matters into his own hands and start creating the music he loved in early 2002.  G. Allen combines jazz styled piano with vibes, rhodes, strings, and synthesizers to make impressive grooves.
