Jay's Rock Army
Welcome to da Jay's Rock Army. The Sunday night project/party that mixed up a tasty blend of 4 on the floor drummin', boogie down bass, funkilious heavy git-ar and oh-so supersmooth voices. Inspired by the right wrist of git-ar slinger Jay "Jayra" Greenstreet, JRA went ta school and mixed up the rhythmic element into old school rock. Doug "D-Base" added his beautifully busy bass lines. D-Base, "I wanted to sound as if Bootsy Collins was bitch slappin' Paul McCartney." Ron "The Kernel" McConkey provided the appropriate bits of straight up grooves and bombast to propel each song to that just a bit too much level as directed by the JRA mantra-Too much is never enough or subtlety is for Jazz musicians. Stan "Supersmooth" Dembowski provided counter funk and order to JayRa riff factory as well as vocals, keyboard noodly bits, other noises and musical production.
