I'm a solo artist, specializing in vocal expression of any kind. Pop, Musicals, R&B, Rock, Jazz...Bring it on. I've started writing stuff too, so look for future installments.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I act and sing professionally all over Phoenix. The world has been kind to me and taken me to other states, but nothing major yet. Good vibes is all I'm giving the world though. They will find their way back to me, no doubt.
Your musical influences
The list goes on and on. Right now, the things that float to the surface are as follows.
Broadway music influenced the emotional side of my music. It is so passionate, and honest to each situation. I like how specific it can be. It creates clear pictures in your mind.
Pop influences...Michael Jackson, who hasn't been influenced by him? Actually, Justin Timerlake's new R&B sound...It's interesting. I like how he uses his voice though. Billy Joel, as a song writer. The Beatles, brilliance. New Edition, the original boy band, after the Jackson 5...
Vocal inlfuences are different though. I go with who challenges me the most. Mandy Patinkin, the broadway sensation, Inigo Montoya, from The Princess Bride is how most of the world knows him. He has a brilliant voice, and he has been my biggest influence musically.
What equipment do you use?
If money permitted, I'd have a home studio, electronic music would satisfy my abilities at this point. But for now, I sport a Yamaha keyboard, Target issue, and home stereo, with a mic. Have to start somewheres.
