That's the business. I've never been socially conscious, and I'm not into empty battle rap. Although I'm not filthy rich, I know how to party and ball with the best of them. I got skill and charisma, what else do I need??? Essentially, my music reflects my persona and attitudes. I like women. I like the nightlife. I like sex. I like alcohol. I like dressing nice. I like fast cars. If you like what I like, you may dig my tracks.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I first started rhyming back in 1994, in a group called . I was ghostwriting for my partner Splash as well. Although I'm from the South, I was very much influenced by both Snoop Dogg's and Wu-Tang's . Upon moving to Miami a year later, I was more influenced by the decidedly East Coast style that runs rampant down there. I've made recent moves with and . , is definitely in the building.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
No live shows of my own material as of yet. (Unless you count those few talent showcases a few years back.)
Your musical influences
MCs who've influenced me include Jay-Z, LL Cool J, Big Daddy Kane, Snoop Dogg, Eightball & MJG, Three 6 Mafia, Biggie, and just about all of Wu-Tang. Musically, I have varied tastes. From smooth R&B/soul to the hyperkinetics of pop and techno. I dig it all. I think it's reflected in my production. Producers who've influenced me include Puff Daddy (yeah, I said it), Pete Rock, the RZA, DJ Paul & Juicy J, Kanye West, and of course my mentor JUST BLAZE!
Anything else?
Currently working on several projects, chief among them is the street album and the project. Be Cool.
