J.A.S.O.N is currently made up of Jay Blaylock on drums, and principle song writing, and Damien Detris as advisor/producer. The music is structured using the drums. As the center piece of the bands music.
Band/artist history
Jay was a member of Mute Prophecy. Performing under the stage name, Jay B. Up until the bands final release in 2011. After the end of the band. Jay began to work on solo instrumental music. Hints, the new band name J.A.S.O.N. In 2013, Jay did some studio work for the bands Locura, and Negrume. J.A.S.O.N, as a band. First attempted to promote in 2014. With the promo video Thunder Road. That was followed up by, J.A.S.O.N, as an act. Doing some appearances. During the Locura tour. In which a recording of the live jams, was released as the Live Wire and Going Live singles. Late 2014 J.A.S.O.N announced a return. With the launch of the bands first Youtube site. Featuring all the videos, new and old. Followed up in early 2015, with the release of Thunder Road. As a promotional single. The single was released on the bands website.. Which became a Soundclick Top50 Song. Followed up by the release of Live Wire (Live Jam). Which was (as earlier mentioned) recorded. During the Locura tour.. Ultimately releasing the album, Motown Drummer, in 2015. Accompanied by the album, Hand Over Fist, in 2018. In 2021, J.A.S.O.N announced the addition of friends and studio musicians Scott Andrews (who worked with Jay during the live Locura tour), and Mark Kummer. In addition, the official release of Thunder Road. Distributed through Cdbaby, and was released on April 30th 2021. As well as work on a new live album, titled American Banned. Which was released on April 29th, 2022. Following the release of American Banned. Mark decided to part ways with the band. On June 24th, 2022. The band released their next album, titled Invite The Light. After which Scott officially retired as a touring musician. On August 25th, 2022. It was announced that Scott Andrews has officially left the band. Leaving Jay to cover all instruments, and Damien Detris ( bassist for Poverty Park). Will be filling in as an advisor (aka a second set of ears.) On November 4th 2022, J.A.S.O.N released their next single, Inner SANEctum. Followed up on November 25th. With the release of the bands rendition of the Christmas classic, Winter Wonderland. J.A.S.O.N would return to their roots, in 2023. With the release of Thunder Road Retraveled. With the announcement of more new music to come.
