James Street
James Street is a project studio specializing inevery kind of music. We'll record anything here.
Bring your fiddle, djembe, harmonica, saxophone, er-hu, banjo, or guitar...or better yet all of them...and let's have some fun!
We just like making noise.
You'll find some of Jerry's tracks here--please feel to offer feedback in the from of praise, or constructive criticism. Hate mail is ok, too.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Oh, I used to front bands, but it has been a couple of years since me and a band “fell in love” with each other.
My favorite gigs were as lead singer for the Space Rovers, Youth-In-Asia, Galapagos, and performing at the Seattle Folklife festival with The Ballard Gong Ensemble. Worst gig: Being the lead singer and drummer for a Grateful Dead tribute band. In-Between Gigs. Weddings are fun. I usually cry at them, though.
Your musical influences
Indie Rock. Love Songs. Pretty Girls and Pianos. Drums and Flutes. Strange noises.
What equipment do you use?
Mostly little boxes, hand drums, harmonicas, acoustic guitars, and piano-shaped objects.
Anything else?
Please make noise with us.
