im not religious but i would say its a political style there and i presume a little modern thinking for those who believe.the song is politersizing (spelling is bad)christ in the modern day sence.right or wrong i suppose its a persons opinion of how things would be if he was around today instead of when he was.
whatever its a fine song and a talking point.

James, I am an old timer who loves, even today, The Aces. I just happened on you with soundclick. What I hear is awesome and as good as or better than what you wrote in the past. Thanks for the mp3's. Despite what you think, they only whet my appetite for more and will be purchasing, whereever it is available, anything that you publish. Hopefully as the net and the Law progress the artist will receive what he is truly worth and the overcompensated record producers will receive less.
