Born and raised on the Westside of Chicago Illinois, July 8 1986, the youngest of Yolanda Howard's three children and second youngest of Purvis Norwood's Joshua Hesogreat Howard was destant to be "GR8T". Motivated by a poem he wrote in his freshmen English class at George Westinghouse in which he compared life to a dog and received an applaud from the students and teacher this "Gram-a-titian" started writing raps at the age of 14 and has yet to put the pen and pad to rest. Today with nearly 300 songs written such as "Accustom", "What U Lookin At?", "Step By Step", "Run" and the heartfelt "Life Is...", "Please Lord" and "Come From Da Ghetto" this thoroughbred Chicagoan is ready to step outside the box and be heard by the world. Reason being is because "I HAVE A LOT TO SAY AND A LOT OF KNOWLEDGE TO OFFER TO THOSE THAT'S WILLING TO LISTEN" he quotes. With idols like Def Jam's Jay-Z, Loso, T.I., Jada, and Eminem and not to mention Chicago's very own Kanye West, Lupe and Common. This Indie artist has a sound like no other. Completely disgusted with "snap music" he's eager to bring back the "intelligence" of rap and entertain the "adult-teen" audiences. Like many rappers his inspiration comes from his life's experiences; but unlike most rappers money, cars, and drugs isn't the main topic.
Band/artist history
From having family addicted to drugs and alcohol to selling drugs to the family of friends to actually making a living from the streets he's just about done and seen it all. With that said he found himself being incarcerated in the Juvenile Detention Center for five grueling months giving him time to think about what he wanted to be in life. A "Rapper" was the answer. Sitting in the juvenile classroom was where he came up with the name Jae'Osh originally spelled J-Osh as in Josh. After adding the "a" and "e" to the "J,” dropping the hyphen and using the apostrophe instead; a unique name for an also unique artist was unveiled. Unfortunately for Jae'Osh he wound up paying a visit to the County Jail on drug charges where he continued to create songs and "battle-rap" against other inmates earning him the respect and clout he deserved. After being released on "House Arrest" he wised-up before reaching the "Big House" and being labeled a "Felon". However; due to that he raps about the "realities" of life in the hood (Chicago); better yet in the world. He also writes on topics such as his God, Family, Women and his Beliefs, with struggles and good memories about all the above. With hopes of being the "GR8TEST" at his expertise he went from performing in the lunchroom of Rezin Orr high-school to a variety of talent shows, open-mics and showcases throughout the city at a variety of venues such as the Y.M.C.A.,the Portage Theater, The Rap Factory, Luv n Music, Cafe Lura, Tini Martini, Exodus II and Mr. G's. He even auditioned for the largest talent show in the world "America's Got Talent" where he performed one of his most personal songs "Lately" and wound up creating "I Got Talent"; a great call and response song that he loves performing for the crowd. You see "I'VE WITNESSED THE LIFE OF A GROWN MAN AS A YOUNG BOY/ FOUND OUT IT WASN'T ALL ABOUT GAMES AND TOYS/ FOUND OUT IT WASN'T ALL ABOUT MAKING NOISE/ THEREFORE I CLOSED MY MOUTH AND CONTINUED TO GET PAYED CAUSE THEM DOLLAR BILLS GOT TO CONTINUED TO GET MADE".

Despite all the negative energy, he's proud to say "I've turned out to be a positive person and role model with four exquisite children (Decovie, Jajah, Tajah, and Tamia Howard)". And though he chose to do the unthinkable and drop out of school he still managed to graduate from the Lincoln College Of Technology and is now a certified electronic systems technician, sketch artist, graphic designer, song-writer and performer. Working on his first album entitled "Da Gr8t Migr8tion" with his refreshing sound, clear punch lines and versatility the world of "HIP-HOP" needs to prepare itself for the one and only JAE'OSH; because they'll soon find out "HE SO GR8T!"”
