Jack Mills has been in the hip hop game for a long reppin from coast to coast. This is his first solo offering. The LP' The Honey Man' is dropping early this summer independantly.

Performing with some of the biggest names in music and getting an opportunity to meet them is something most people can only dream of.

BOYZ IN THE HOOD ... Jack Mills (a.k.a. Dwayne Jack) and his crew in the Calgary hip-hop act Urban Legends have opened for rap, R&B and hip hop stars such as Snoop Dogg, Eve and Coolio.

For Jack Mills (a.k.a. Dwayne Jack) of Calgary hip hop act Urban Legends, it’s a regular occurrence.

Over the last couple of years, the crew, which also features fellow MC Eydol (a.k.a. Tavis Samuel, 24), have been called into action to open for such urban music luminaries as Coolio, Naughty By Nature, Eve, and Snoop Dogg.

After six years of toughing it out in a prairie town that’s not known outside of the city limits, anyway for being a hot bed of hip hop.

Jack Mills says it’s precisely because they’ve stayed the course that the shows come to them.

“ I know we’re not the only ones, and I can’t say we’re the best,” the 26-year-old Winnipeg native says. “But we’ve been around probably the longest and we’re consistent. Plus we can do a show on a dime and our live show is uncontested we’ll always deliver.

“ You can call us last minute which has happened a couple of times recently and we can put the show together in 20 minutes. Go on and tear down the house.”

That must be the result of endless rehearsals and constant practising.

Jack Mills' boisterous laugh indicates otherwise.

Mills has performed alongside some of the biggest names from Snoop Dogg to Busta Rhymes. He's also releasing a single with a Canadian legend Michie Mee called Levels.

Influences are Redman, The Wu, Snoop Dogg, Dr.Dre, Dj Premiere, J-Dilla, Slum Village to name a few.
