Ivan Pong
I am a tired medical doctor who is playing a one-man band at leisure. I compose, arrange, sing, and record songs on my own. I start to write songs in 1994, hoping that my tired heart to heal others and myself to be healed psychologically by original songs.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I learnt to play music since 6, first with the piano, then with the viola and guitar. I started to write my first song in my high school years, for a best friend who studied abroad, strongly influenced by the Cantonese pop song during the period of 80s.
I have my first radio interview about my original music 10/2001, at on Pop Rock chart in this web site 27-28/12/2003. Thanks for all of your support!
Special thanks for the support from Johnny Lu, Leo Chow, Stephen Tsai, Howard Shum, Tingi Teddy and Denis DeFrange. I am currently under the progress on creating more songs...
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I played live since my high school years, starting with orchestra and choir performance. Then after gaining more confidence, I played live piano concerts. I started to perform original music on stage in my university years. I enjoy all the on stage experiences.
