ISO

Hey,We're ISO,a heavy metal band from the small town of bewdley.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Prateek Kumar - Vocals ( some written guitar) Laurie Neville - Drums ALfred Newman - Bass guitar Dave Bailey - Lead/Rhythem guitar Harry French - Lead/Rhythem guitar Harry Alfred and Laurie are the 3 origional members of the band, who have now been playing with each other for a year and a half, Prateeks been with us most of that time and Dave is the most recent member, joining in the middle of last year when Prateek moved from second guitar back to vocals. We started out like most bands, just playing some covers in the back room of my house. Before our first attempts at writing some quite frankly rubbish songs. After witnessing a local battle of the bands competition is when we got serious. And since then have worked our bollocks off trying to write the best we can.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We havnt had many live performances,a few in school at rock band nights organised. Probably the best feeling in the world for me and the best moment has to be seeing a good number of people with a passing interest in metal moshing like there was no tommorow to music we'd made, ace.
Your musical influences
If we had to pick bands we sounded like I'd say at times Avenged sevenfold,Finch with a smidgen of lostprophets, other times bands like hatebreed or inflames. Each band member likes alot of different things,so ,although it sounds cliched to say , at the moment we havnt found one particular genre we like so much we feel like sticking with, its all heavy, well played, and good ( i hope) though, and thats all that matters.
What equipment do you use?
Nothing special for us,as we're poor. Harry uses a Marshall 250dfx and plays a 1958 korina epiphone flying V. Dave Bailey uses a Marhshall Mg80 and an Epiphone Les Paul Standered, both guitarists go through a Boss-ME50 multi fx unit. Alfred uses Warick bass guitars and a homemade bass amp (that actually sounds shiny when working) Laurie uses drums,i dont know anything about them,so i wont try and sound like i do..he likes cymbals.....alot.
Anything else?
For when the MP3's are up,any feedback is good feedback (except absolutely rubbish feedback) and please try to ignore the dodgy sound recording when bearing in mind the songs,we know it doesnt sound the best.
