Island Allstars
I.A. is a group of three rappers who came together with all their unique rap styles and decided to dominate the rap industry as a band.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Founded by R-flo who is also a member of the Future Styles Crew. The original group consisted of 5 rappers and made their first appearance in April 2002, during a show held at T. A. Marryshow Community College in Tanteen St. George's Grenada. The group disbanded after a misunderstanding during the performance and was brought back together by it's original founder in 2004 this time made up of 3 members: Bootz, Doom, and Knoxious. Doom left the group in July 2004 leaving Island Allstars as the rap duo Bootz and Knoxious, after some internal conflicts within the record label, Island Allstars was changed to I.A. in order to avoid future conflicts. I.A., once signed to FutureStyles Ltd. is now an idependant entity.
R-Flo of futurestyles started his own record company Grizique records in January 2006 and signed I.A., now with DOOM back in the picture the trio is very confident.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Yes. We had a few live appearances in Grenada. It was good to see your own people have that kinda love for what we were doin.
