I-Shenko (Iyah Shenko) Born John Joseph Mckenzie On The 20th Of May 1984 To Parents Sharon Bryan And Earle Mckenzie In The Parish Of Kingston And St.Andrew,Jamaica, However He Grew Up In The Parish Of St.Catherine,Jamaica In What They Call The ?Sunshine City? Portmore, Home Of Many Stars Such As I-Octane,Gyptain,Bascom-X,I-Wayne,Admiral Tibet And Many Other Artistes Including The Talented Rising Artiste Indecka.For I-Shenko Music As Always Been A Passion Rather Than A Means Of Fame And Power Of Vanity And Therefore Always Tries His Best To Make His Music Widely Appreciated And Maintain That Substance To Endure In This Generation And The Future Generation Much Like To His Idols In The Reggae Industry Bob Marley,Beres Hammond,Jacob Miller,Garnet Silk And Even The Likes Of Such Artistes In These Times Such As Lutan Fyah,I-Octane,Taurus Riley And Other Artistes Both Established And Upcoming Who Continue To Do Good Music And Keep The Soul Of Reggae Music Alive.I-Shenko Realised His Dreams In Music While Attending The St.Jago High School In Spanish Town,St.Catherine,Jamaica At The Age Of 15 Years When He Had His First Demo Recording Done At The KINGSWELL RECORDING STUDIO Also In Spanish Town But Then Doing A Different Genre From Reggae Which Was Hip Hop And Although Hip Hop Not Being A Dominant Part Of Jamaica?s Culture As Reggae And Dancehall Music Still Got Him A Good Review And Encouragement From Friends And Family Especially His Big Sister Adjoa Also A Talented Singer And Recording Artiste And His Number One Fan His Mother Which Never Dis-Encouraged His Spirit In Music But Also Helped In Any Way Possible And Told Him Always ?Son Do Your Best And Believe In Yourself And Things Will Always Work Out For The Best?. From There He New He Wanted To Make His Dreams A Reality And Not Only Dream But As A Career Path In Life,Thus After Leaving High School Pursing Him To Attend Audio Engineer Classes Thought By Mr.Steven Ventura A Well Known Producer,Video Director And Pioneer In Audio Engineering This Got Him The Chance To Meet Giants In The Reggae Music Industry Such As Jack Scorpio Veteran Selector And Music Producer Of BLACK SCORPIO RECORDS Who Commended Him On His Talent But Advised Him That Hip Hop Was Not A Dominant Part Of Jamaica?s Culture And Therefore Being A Slim Chance In Making In That Industry.However With This Advice And The Comments Of Others This Caused Him To Revamp Totally From Then Known As ?John Mack The Rapper? To I-Shenko The Reggae/Dancehall Singjay With A New Sound Many Comparing Him To The Likes Of Sizzla Kolunji And Turbulance.From Then He Recorded His First Single In 2005 Entitled ?HATE IN THEM? On The Alpha Production Label Which Got Him Some Air-Play Locally And Even A Wider Audience Internationally Especially In The Uk And Europe.With The Promotion Of ?Hate In Them? Got Him Gigs Locally Such As I-Waynes Annual Christmas Treat In Portmore 2007 & 2008,Fanton Mojah?s Reggae In The Valley 2008 & 2009 And Many Other Events Around Jamaica Including Concerts And Weddings And Small Functions.In 2006 He Got An Engineering Job At The LASERBASS RECORDING STUDIO In Spanish Town Which Is Also The Home Of LASERBASS SOUND INTERNATIONAL Where He Also Played On The Sound As Well As Creating Mixtapes Right Through Untill He Left In 2008 And Although Leaving Mentained A Strong Relationship With The Laserbass Family Even Until The Present Day,After Leaving Laserbass He Hooked Up With A Friend Mark Johnson Otherwise Known As Mark Irie Producer And Owner Of Music Life Recording Studio Now Known As MUSIC LIFE ENTERTAINMENT GROUP In Spanish Town.Presently He Is Working With Music Life As A Recording Artiste/Engineer And Also A Music Producer With His Own Label KING ISHENSI PRODUCTIONS And KING ISHENSI SOUND INTERNATIONAL.On His Label King Ishensi Productions He Has Three Of His Own Artistes Indecka,Savbokhani And Female ?Reggae-Soul Singer?
