Their passion is wrapped up in just ten words: What does the bible say? I want to please God!
Iron for Clay has an energetic, real, and sincere approach to worship. They are a band that lives on the cutting edge. With a mixture of driving rock, alternative, pop, and other musical flavors, the anointing in which they minister ranges from intensely exciting to deeply passionate reaching into the unmistakable presence of God, ushering in those who worship with them.
Whether Iron for Clay is leading worship for the mid-week services, for the two main services at LifePoint Ministries every Sunday along with LifePoint choir, or hosting Pure Worship each month for their community, ministering in parks, at festivals, restaurants, other churches, youth events, music stores, or the many other indoor and outdoor venues, they always draw in the crowds. With the original music God placed in their hearts, they reach the churched and the un-churched alike with a message of hope and a future through Jesus Christ.
Donna Yarborough has a unique style all her own. This girl can rock holding nothing back. She sings from her deep passion for God with all her soul. It is evident through her music and her life all she wants to do is please God.
The live worship experience with Iron for Clay is astounding in that it evokes a fresh feeling of excitement and hope as God’s presence captures the depth of the soul touching all ages and crossing all cultural bounds. It is so real, powerful, and intense that it will cause people of all walks of life to hunger for a real relationship with the God who is the object of their worship: an Audience of One!
Mission statement: Our mission is to worship God wholeheartedly in spirit and in truth, to please God and to provide Christians a real avenue to worship God in a deeper, more personal relationship, and to lead non-Christians into becoming mature disciples and worshippers of Christ.
Most of Iron for Clay began their ministry together seven years ago in March, 1996, when the Lord led Roland and Donna Yarborough to take the senior pastorate of a struggling congregation known as First Assembly of God in Douglasville, Georgia.
Since that time, the miraculous power of God’s Word through anointed preaching, along with the dynamic sounds of worship from Iron For Clay have given this church a fresh new start. The excitement was contagious and through these years they have found themselves moving their worship services to three different buildings just to accommodate the exceptional growth. The most recent move was to their newly built sanctuary in July, 2002, with a new name, LifePoint Ministries, which according to Enrichment Magazine, was found
to be among the top 20 fastest growing Assembly of God churches within their numerical bracket in the United States.
Iron For Clay is the worship band at LifePoint Ministries in Douglasville,GA (lifepointministries.com). LifePoint livestreams their services over the internet every Sunday @ 10:30 AM & 6:30 PM. Be sure to catch us at lifepointministries.com and follow the livestream link.
