MISSING YOU

When you're missing somebody you've never met before...
Hello and welcome! My name is Irina Blessing and I'm a keyboardist. I enjoy composing and playing songs of all kinds of different styles, but am particularly impartial to smooth jazz music. Check 'em out!
Band/artist history
I've enjoyed playing the piano since I was 5. Love to play live with different types of musicians. I discovered the keyboard Korg Triton, playing the sounds of real musical instruments and recording each instrument on a different track.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Yes.
What equipment do you use?
Keyboard Korg Triton, Oasys,
Anything else?
Songs are like pages of my diary, where I express emotions and create my own world. Here is the recent review from www.smoothjazz.com: "From Russia, with love and a great deal of talent, comes classically trained keyboardist Irina A. Blessing, known professionally as just “Irina.” Her debut CD, SEEKING HARMONY, is a beautiful collection of smooth instrumentals, reflecting a love for Smooth Jazz that she’s developed since moving to the U.S. a few years ago. Irina lists Grover, Sting, David Sanborn, The Ripps, and Chris Botti among her inspirations. In her continued evolution as a pianist, she’s chosen to master the Korg Triton Workstation keyboard, which is what you’ll hear on this delightful set of eleven original compositions. There’s a very soothing ambience to her performance on this disc that allows you to just relax and absorb her artistry, from the gentle “Miami Surf” to the intriguing “Tokyo.” Irina describes her music as a synergy of classical, pop, rock, and Russian folk music that blends and mixes through her heart and fingers. The result, as you’ll hear, is a very lyrical and accessible hour of music, at times leaning Chill, at other times moving toward New Age, but always gentle and sensitively-performed. The piano voicing of the Korg Triton dominates most of the tunes, with myriad other voicings and synth effects adding spice and intrigue along the way. Irina displays her supreme musicianship throughout this album, both from the standpoints of melodic structure and her fastidious arrangements. SEEKING HARMONY from Irina is one of those compelling albums that invite you to listen again and again. You will happily accept the invitation! SCOTT O'BRIEN"
