In The Mood
This band will make your next event "SWING". With our seven piece band you get that "Big Band" sound for a small band price. In The Mood plays the best in "Big Band" and "Swing" music. Music by such greats as Louis Armstrong, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Glenn Miller, just to name a few, up to the present day Brian Setzer and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. Whether its background, dinner, or dance music, we do it all for you!!
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Most of the musicians in the band have been playing their instruments for over twenty years. That's where you get the experience and professional sound. Some of us were music majors in college. Great overall blend of talent. The band members come from all kinds of bands but mostly a jazz and blues influence.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We only play live. Mostly for weddings and private functions. Any size event or party we can handle.
Your musical influences
Any band listed in the introduction. We all listen to various types of jazz quite a bit. Mostly the great jazz bands of the past and present. Too many to list.
