Infexion
Am unpredictable heavy metal band from Kokomo, Indiana.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Infexion was created in mid 1999 by guitarist Josh Rogers, bassist Nick Rhoton, and former drummer Jon Rogers. Formerly a cover band, they picked vocalist Sean Oakley in mid 2001,to sing along side Nick Rhoton, who was lead vocalist at that time.
They then created their own sound of death metal with groove driven yet thunderous guitar riffs, chest rumbling bass, powerful and fast drum beats, and a distinct mix of heshing and screaming that no other local band was doing, with words of anger and suffering from the memories of each of their lives.
From there, they took a new direction as they dropped vocalist Nick Rhoton and digged deeper into the death metal as vocalist Sean Oakley expressed more memories as they wrote new songs like Trust and Dreambeast, bringing them into a darker yet heavier sound, yet keeping the original sound of songs like F.T.N. and Blood, Guts, Gore.
They played the local scene building their fan base before again changing their sound and line-up as they changed to the current line-up with Derek Dishon on drums, Wes Wright on second guitar, and Nick Rhoton back on bass, bringing more of an 80's metal sound in with two lead guitarist, and a more heart pounding drum sound.
Recent changes have put Tony (Montana) Davis on bass guitar and down to one guitar, Josh Rogers.
