In Debt is an original funk based rock & roll band from
New Orleans, LA. Uprooted from a natural disaster;
In Debt was transplanted, and is now ready to introduce
its original rock & roll to the music lovers of the
Shenandoah Valley.
Since 2002, In Debt has been spreading the word of peace
& tolerance to all who care to listen.
The purpose of combining this dynamic musical team is
to show the world just how symbiotic music can be.
A bit of musical history:
Founding member, Lynne Ledet took advantage of a once
in a lifetime opportunity to reunite Billy and Henry in 2002.
Both members of this heart pounding rhythm section were
recovering from the recent break-up of their former band,
May Flood. After much discussion, the three decided to
give it a go.
Added to the mix was Shenandoah Valleys own Matt Painter.
Matt joined In Debt after listening to the band on
MySpace.com & became friends with the wacky trio.
Unfortunately, Matt's schedule is too busy to stay as the
band's permanent guitar player, but he's still a good friend
and hangs out with us when he has the time. He is still
currently playing guitar in A Body Falls, which was the
band he was jammin in the entire time.
In Debt's search was still on until some good friends of the
band (Zack and Chaz) introduced them to Josh Thacker, a
19 yr old Waynesboro lad who is currently playing guitar for
them now. Josh also brings along with him our TWO No.1 FANS
Adam & Jessica (or "No.1 groupies" as they like to be called).
Things are working out great and GIGS are currently being
booked in the Shenandoah Valley area.
With this new line up of talented musicians, In Debt
has the ability to write music with an intellectual message,
and powerful beat.
On stage, In Debt projects energy with its funky, rockin,
high spirited sights and sounds. In Debt not only plays
original music, but also performs to its audiences delivering
"in your face" style and flair.

Your musical influences
We have sooo Many......We definitely listen to TOOL (The Gospel to us.....lol), and I can't forget Les Claypool and Victor Wooten for me!!!, but we do have a lot of influences, like FUNK, Heavy Rock, Jazz, and anything Groovin'........We love our local bands around here too (MAYFLOOD, KURNEL, TWITCHFACTOR aka "ASS", CHOKE, ABUSE, ACID BATH, SYSTEM RED, AGENTS OF OBLIVION, etc.....)even though the only one in that list above that's still together is CHOKE!!!....lolWhat equipment do you use?
