Ill Skillz consists of Kas Simplicio and Jones a.k.a. Big Brotha Doe. The Group was formed in the early winter of 1999 in a back room of our high school. After free stylin and battling each other over the grimy sounds of someone beatboxin, we decided to take it to the studio, and with literally two turn-tables, one mic, and some some classic instrumentals on wax, Ill skillz was born. Your musical influences
Classic MC's like Big Daddy Kane and Run D.M.C., to todays Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Common, The Roots, Jay-Z, Pharoahe Monch, and Punchline and Wordsworth. Also influenced by lyricist of the poetry scenes and alternative music like Maroon 5 and John Mayer.
