i see struggle in everyone.. the struggle to survive, the struggle to live, the struggle to get freedom, the struggle to get respect, the struggle to get your art recognized, etc.. lyrically, that is my influence.. i am many voices.. my own, my brotherz that got no homez and sleep on the street, starvin artistz, catz that are forced into a life of crime cuz capitalism leavez no optionz for them, single motherz that work 2 jobs, lost soulz tryin to find meaning.. that's why i use wordz like "us" and "we" instead of "i" and "me".. musically.. wow, this a long list.. wu-tang's golden era (92-98), mobb deep (infamous, hell on earth era), def jux (cann o, ace rock, el-producto, rjd2, etc.), billy woods (nuff respect to backwoodz studioz), common, the roots, 88 keyz, blueprint, dj premier, nasir jones, mos def, talib kweli, blackalicious, anti-pop consortium, mf doom, madlib (for sure), 9th wonder, dj shadow, fat jon, jay dilla, dead prez, outkast, atoms family, public enemy, killarmy, etc.. aside from hip-hop, jimi hendrix, pink floyd, funkadelic, parliament, betty davis, sly stone, earth wind and fire, curtis mayfield, donny hathaway, roberta flack, ike hayes, buddy miles, the jb's, bob marley, peter tosh, sun ra, miles davis, herbie hancock, stanley clarke, john coltrane, and a shitload of otherz...
