How to Start Your Computer and Begin OPD

1) If the red switch on your desk is not lit up that means there is no power to run your computer. Turn it on by flipping the switch.

2) Press the white circular button on the computer box to turn on your computer.

3) Wait for it to turn on all the way.

4) If your computer does not show a little box that says "User Name" and a box underneath that says "Password" you have to "Ctrl+Alt+Delete". Look for these buttons on your keyboard. Then you have to press "Ctrl" and hold it down. Then press "Alt" which is right next to it and hold it down

You just move it around and press only the button on the left. The arrow will move on the screen to where you want it to. Ask me if you want to know what the button on the right does. But you will not need it.

6) Type the word "student" into the box that says "User Name". To do that move the arrow to the box where it says "User Name" and press the left button. When you do that the arrow will change to a blinking line. Then type "student." If there is already something written there you must erase it. To do that you have to use the arrow buttons on the keyboard so you can move the cursor. Move the cursor to the very right side of the word and press "Backspace" on the keyboard. Keep doing that until it is all erased. Then continue by typing "student."

7) Press the button that says "Enter" so that you can go inside the computer.
