Igor Zolotukhin, Russian jazz guitarist, was born 26.12.1956 in Istra,a small town near Moscow, Russia. He started learning music at 6. At 16, influenced by Beatles, Igor started playing the guitar and at the age of 20 he desidedto be a professional jazz guitarist. After 7 years of non-stoptour about the USSR in the combos Igor tried himself in the Oleg Lundstrem Big band-the greatest band in Russia. He took part in jazz festivals of Grenoble-90, in the programme of 18-th annual IAJE devoted to Duke Ellington, Washington,D.C.1991 and was awarded by Certificate of Appresiation for outstanding service, Imatra-92, Bratislava-97, Santa-Barbara-98,Stokholm-99. Besides Igor played in well-known European jazz-clubs. , said Pat Metheny after jam in Moscow club , where they played together in July 1987, during The Pat Metheny Group grand tour in the USSR. Sinse 1994 Igor Zolotuknin plays in his quartet, for which he creates music and a great deal of arrangements. His first CD was realesed in 2003 where Igor composed and arranged most of tunes himself includes jazz, rock, R'n'B and latino elements as well.
