I'm just one person, writing, playing and recording everything on this page. It's all instrumental but covers a range of styles, I'm sure there's something on there most people will like.
I really appreciate feedback so I can keep improving, so if you have any comments on any tracks please email me or post on the messageboard, thanks.
Your musical influences
Everything I listen to, which is why a lot of my tracks change a lot or are very different to the track before, I just like a lot of music and enjoy trying to play around with the different styles.
What equipment do you use?
Guitars:
Jackson SL4, Yamaha Pacifica 112 or unknown second hand guitar (depending on tuning--), Hohner classical acoustic, rebuilt Vintage bass.
Effects/Amps:
Bespeco volume pedal Original Crybaby Marshall TSL60 with Marshall 1936 2x12" cab
Boss CS3 compressor Boss CE5 chorus Digitech delay (in the effects loop)
Recording:
The amp is then mic'd (Shure SM57) + direct line out into a Behringer mixer which goes to my PC (cheap Audigy soundcard), bass goes DI to the mixer.
Extras:
I use Nuendo 3 for everything, various VST instruments for synth/drums/piano etc which is usually played through an Evolution MK-425C keyboard but sometimes just programmed in.
VSTs:
Halion3 (pianos, strings, drums), Albino, A1, FM7, Absynth (synths)
Past Gear:
I used a Marshall MG50DFX amp for most of these recordings, before I got the TSL.
Software-wise I used Cool Edit Pro for recording/mixing and Guitar Pro 4 for MIDI before getting Cubase.
Some old keyboards were done on a crap old Yamaha keyboard.
