So who are the Hyper Active Slackers you ask??? Many call us the next Big Punk Rock Band to break the scene and bring the style back to frontlines with hit after hit. Comparing us to bands like Green Day, Weezer, Offspring, NOFX, Rancid, GoldFinger, and even Blink-182, but we aim to be much more than that. We mix our main influence of those great punk rock bands, along with each of our members unique musical backgrounds, and then add a cutting edge of the latest metal and rock rhythmic tones to produce our unique sound. Our songs are not only melodic and catchy but you might also find yourself jumping around and/or singing to them to. So which couch potatoes make up the Hyper Active Slackers you say? First we have Adnan Napier. His main forte is to play guitar, sing, and write songs. With his vast punk rock and metal musical knowledge, song writing comes to him often and naturally as he depicts the adventures of life that comes his way, followed with a catchy tune, hard
hitting riffs, and melodic choruses. Adnan's no stranger to hard game of love,
as he has plenty of hit songs about girls and probably more songs named after girls than anyone else. Aside from writing hit songs about the ladies, Adnan delivers other hit songs about all the other things going on in life to.
Next we have Walter Cherry (The Music City MADMAN), who has several weapons of destruction, including thunderous bass guitar riffs, and powerful harmonic vocals, which help give the Slackers songs depth as well as a tambourine that he can kill a man with from 50 feet away. The Madman is professionally seasoned, who's credits include a
vast array of diverse bands with several different styles of music. He can play everything from rock, to metal, to punk rock, to just about anything and everything that has a beat to it. And if this is no beat, he'll can still play.
Finally, we come to our last slacker, Ben Bradford, who holds down the couch with playing the drums like there's no tomorrow. With ben's extensive percussion background, he is able to deliver all types of great drumming styles the band's songs. He is able to
combine advanced drum styles that range from Green Day, The Offspring, and NOFX, to
playing jazz and Mudvayne beats.
We're not here to save the world but we would like to save Great Punk Rock Music, because that feat seems like a little more plausible than the other.After a very successful summer tour, including a command performance at the world famous EXIT /IN and opening up for "The Queers", The Slackers Prepare to shoot several music videos to promote the release of their debut album entitled "Slack Attack". With no nonsense tunes like "Calling Out", to more intimate ballads like "Lori", the release will cover all aspects of The Slackers feelings towards society with songs they play at live shows.
