Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Singer songwriter Ben Hursh teams up with Guy Hursh on guitar and Rebecca Hursh on backing vocals. Adding to the mix is long time bassist Rob Ackley and groovemasters Keith Ballmer and Devon Neibert on percussion. Ben has a knack for writing from the heart and pours himself into the music. Guy and Rebecca add a continuity that can only come from family history. Rob, Keith and Devon complete the sound that combines strong melodies, subtle harmonies and honest, edgy lyrics. Hursh is a mix of styles and takes influence from a wide range of artists and from broken hearts to the bond between family and friends. Our self titled CD was recorded at Solid Sound Studio in Ann Arbor, MI with Recording Engineer Chris Goosman.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
We play limited engagements in Northern Michigan when we aren't writing/ recording.
