Human Certainty History
There were once two punk/metal/hardcore bands in Eugene, Oregon by the names of FuckGodInTheFace and Ahisma. Band helped out band. They played together, toured together, lived together, and put out a split 12 together.
After years of friendship, communal living, and collective endeavors, they broke up and went their separate ways. But a few of them stuck together (maybe against better judgment) and formed a new band. Caleb and Jason from FuckGodInTheFace and Will from Ahisma joined forces to become Human Certainty in September of 2003. The three of them rocked Eugene with about a dozen shows. In April of 2004, Caleb amicably called it quits to pursue a divergent undertaking. This left Will and Jason disheartened, but at the same time all the more intent on making it work with someone new.
Enter Aaron on bass. Although stylistically, he couldnt be more different than Caleb, Aaron fit right into the Human Certainty equation.
Determined to learn from their past and move forward with their music, as well as the often difficult relationship that is a band, Human Certainty continue to create and play sincere, original, non-pretentious heartfelt music of substance.
With no grandiose schemes of being rock stars, and far from being hipsters/scenesters, Human Certainty does it for the love, for the art, for the kids, and for the D.I.Y. underground circuit around the planet. But most importantly, they do it for themselves.All comments (2)
