Howard Cox
The name's Howard Cox, I've been composing since I was twelve. I started writing for the piano because thats what I play but then I introduced the violin and cello because I knew some people that played them. Now that I've got Reason (music software) I write orchestral stuff with that. My style originally was similar to the modern composers like Philip Glass and Ludovico Einaudi but I've deveoped a bit since then.
I've also done a few arrangements of things like the Postman Pat theme tune. (If you get that show in America)
I dont have a website yet, but you can buy my album if you e mail me at howarddcox@gmail.com
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Born in the East of England, then I moved up to Scotland when I was 9 and was bored off my arse ever since.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Sometimes, but ony at the school I used to go to. I'm going on a tour with my College soon doing traditional scottish music around the scottish islands. Although I'm not really a fan of it myself, it should be a laugh.
Your musical influences
Anything good really. Michael Nyman, Ludovico Einaudi, Beethoven etc. I like rap, dance(trance, house, drum and bass), soul, reggae, everything else as well though
