First off and foremost, Hood Certified Ent is not a band. LOL. We're simply a team dedicated to pushing the music of underground, unsigned, artists trying to get into the mainstream media...
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Hood Certified Ent was founded in November of 2008 by 3 homies just looking to come up and push the underground music from tha Polk Kounty, 863 area. Lucky, Big Hect, & Tiny then got on the grind to find true artists who were not only talented, but also dedicated to the music game.
The first artist we hooked up with was our homie Dj T.O. but sadly upon releasing his track "Kill Me A Cop" he was sent to prison for 2 years over his lyrics. "Free Dj T.O.!!" The other artist to roll with HCE from the get-go is Manuel G. Then in the Fall of 09, we came across Doh Boi who introduced HCE to PCR- Polk County Representaz. PCR consists of 3 members being: Doh Boi, B-Boi, & Bizzi B. There are other artists we've worked with, but these are our main ones...
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
Of course we do live music. It don't matter if it's just in a circle with a homie spittin a freestyle, or if it's on stage in front of fans. Music is the soundtrack to our lives.
Your musical influences
Too many off rip, but mostly people that spit the truth. This goes for both mainstream and underground artists.
What equipment do you use?
Your basic home studio... Computer, microphone(MXL3000), and talent.
