The HoodAlumns started rapping together in the fall of 2003 their freshman year at Florida A&M University. Two of the members, John Dough and Rob Rich were a group in Palm Beach called the Paper Soldiers. The group changed the name to the HoodAlmuns once G stak a.k.a yung c from Da Villain Camp joined the group. The group has a unique style of rapping and each member compliments the other.
