Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
While growing up in a small town in Wisconsin, Justin, aka Malek, was surrounded with music. His great grandmother used to play piano for the silent films in the early years of the 20th century, and continued to play throughout Malek's childhood until she past away in 1997. She was Malek's main inspiration to take piano lessons.
One thing Malek quickly realized about playing the piano was that he did not enjoy playing the notes provided on the sheet music his piano teacher would give him, so he never practiced. Nonetheless, he would play the piano, but would play and compose his own pieces. He did not enjoy conforming to already-composed pieces of music.
Not only did Malek take up piano, but he also learned the alto saxophone in middle school, and continued throughout high school; playing in symphonic, marching, and jazz bands.
In 2000, Malek received a keyboard for Christmas, and quickly discovered the recording feature. That small red buttom which allowed Malek to record his own tracks was what completely changed his life. He started out making electronic/techno tracks, but later transitioned into hip-hop and r&b.
Today, with numerous projects under his belt, Malek is ready to put some of his material online and provide eager artists the opportunity to mold their thoughts and feelings in music. With the hottest beats at your fingertips, you will not go wrong with Hitmakers Productions.
