I can consider myself a band too i guess.HILLFAM is the persona i represent but some people call me Pretty Rick,Rick,Blackman,Blacky etc.... I know who is who by the name they call me.Thas crazy right?
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Basically i have been writin rhymes and freestylin since i was 13yrs old.I grew up hustlin so i didnt have time for nothing else.I always jumped in cyphers and said some ill shit so by the time i moved out of the hood i had a flow.I moved to upstate New York where i met my G Von Boogz who had a rap group called NFO http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=1042476 My voice attracted a few mc's to borrow it on a few differant tracks and before i knew it I found myself proven to be a reliable mc representin hard for NFO until I too became a member of the (at the time) 2 man team.Now with the addition of my jersey bredren Bizzy we are four strong.Reppin N.Y and N.J with that ocean flow.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I have performed live shows locally in New York and i love the rush and the capability to move the crowd. I havent really had any speacial moments yet,but i'm looking foward to a whole lot of them.
Your musical influences
My emotions and all of the trapped hurt is what lets me set it on the mic.The capability to be able to voice my opinions and thought on the mic and have an effect on others is my influence.Being an influence is my influence.
What equipment do you use?
Dell computer,Sony Acid Pro 7.0 and 6.0,Fruity Loops,Pro Tools and a condenser mic with a xxl mic compressor.
Anything else?
I am truly a jack of any trade.I will excell in anything and everything that i do no matter what it is. I am truly self taught in every aspect.Basically I am not a professional with any degrees i can just do what i do,but i do it good.
