HIGH WATT
HIGH WATT’s music possesses catchy lyrical hooks with strong vocal harmonies, solid backbeats, infectious guitar riffs that are heavy yet melodic, and virtuoso guitar leads. The powerful vocals of lead singer Nick Tierney and lead guitarist Patrick Verdi combined with the rock-solid rhythms created by drummer Allen Skillman and bassist Alex Smith, produce what is surely a welcome alternative to the modern rock trends of today’s music scene.Band/artist history
HIGH WATT was formed when singer/guitarist Nick Tierney, bassist Alex Smith, and drummer Allen Skillman decided to quit their respective bands to form a straight ahead modern rock group with strong song writing and uncompromising stage presence. In early 2003, the three founding members recruited one of Richmond’s most unique and crafty lead guitarists, Patrick Verdi.
In June 2003, HIGH WATT recorded a self-produced demo featuring “Wake Up”, “All Static”, “Bad Side”, “Try”, and “Over & Out”. The band’s manager, Marc Verdi, is currently shopping the demo to record labels as well as clubs and concert venues all over the United States. HIGH WATT hopes to tour soon as an opening act until they are able to tour as headliners across the globe.Have you performed in front of an audience?Yes, we play live and its what we live for.
