We are 3-piece post-rock band based in London.Band/artist history
The music we play can be described as a mixture of classic bands such as Queen and The Doors and 80s rock/new wave music inspirations such as U2, Depeche Mode and The Cure.
We play POP and we are not ashamed of that. But this is a pop with DARK shades and with hard PUNK or even METAL energy.
The most important features in our band are the strong rhythm section, melodically layered guitar/ keyboard and powerful vocals in our songs.
In our catalogue there is our version of Johnny Cashs classic 'Ring of Fire'.
Higher Love has been featured on radio stations in Scotland, England, Macedonia, Poland, Northern Ireland and US.
In July 2009 we have been choosen to take a part in special EMI/Roundhouse studios
project called 30/30.Have you performed in front of an audience? We have played more than 80 gigs in London and Europe. Gigs give us opportunity to express to the audience deep emotional aspect hidden in our songs. We are that kind of band either you can love or hate, no lukewarm feelings:)
We don't want to destroy our instruments (because we like them and we think it is childish...better is to burn down the venue) but we like to play pre-recorded sound clips from melodramatic movies before our darkest songs like 'Sins'.
Your musical influences
Our priority is to be original and not to copy the others but we know that nothing
in the nature comes from nowhere.
Officially we admit that our inspirations are the bands like U2, Joy Division, The Cure,
The Doors, Depeche Mode, Nirvana, Venus Fly Trap
and Polish nihilistic punk-band called Siekiera (The Axe). What equipment do you use?
We are not a techno formation but sometimes we try. Except the normal rock -equipment (our favorite are semi-acoustic, semi-electric guitars) we use analogue keyboards with the real and groundbreaking sounds. All comments (2)
