Higgledy Piggledy

Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Higgledy Piggledy made its debut in the Ateneo Music Industry Concert in March, 2004. It was composed of Ralph Guibani - vocalist, Rich de Leon and Russ Saliendra - guitars, Tim Mallillin - bass and Drew Soriano - drums. After receiving positive comments, the band decided to do more music. However, Rich de Leon decided to leave the band for personal reasons.
Higgledy Piggledy became the representative of Ateneo Music Industry in most school events such as the Org Fair and even the St. Ignatius Mass. The St. Ignatius mass became a stepping stone for the band to enter a wider area of High School music scene. Higgledy Piggledy was the first student band to play in an AHS community mass and also the first AHS band to make new versions of mass songs (reggae, pop, rock).
Because of its success in the St. Ignatius Mass, Father RB Hizon, SJ invited the Higgledy Piggledy to play in the program, Halikinu Radio in NU 107 in October, 2004. The band played two songs, Luwalhati Sa Diyos (Pop Version) and Constricted (Original), with an acoustic set. After this event, the band decided to have Andro Abustan as the lead vocalist and Ralph Guibani became the Rhythm Guitarist and the other Vocalist.
Higgledy Piggledy was also enjoying playing in school fairs such as the St. Paul Pasig Fairs Open Jam, School of the Holy Spirits BandAid, and of course, Ateneo High Schools Propositum. The band also played in numerous student-produced events such as Rumble, produced by Miriam High School Students with the participation of Pulp and MTV Ink. This was held in Kublais Katipunan last March 2005. The band became the champion in the event. In the same event, Bassist Tim Mallillin bid farewell to the band in order to pursue personal goals and dreams.
The departure of Tim Mallillin forced the band to take a hiatus in the summer of 2005. But this loss did not stop HP (Higgledy Piggledy) from making music. In the August of 2005, the band got Caloy Soliongco as a sessionist for the band and continued playing. Because Caloy was also busy with his band, he was not able to go in some practices and gigs. The band got Bob Villanueva to be the permanent Bassist last October 2005.
In July 2006, Higgledy Piggledy became an ((AMP))-Ateneo Musician's Pool band. 8 bands were accepted over 30 bands who tried out. The 8 bands include Unnamed (currently unnamed), Drew Soriano's other band.
In August 2006, Russ Saliendra (lead guitarist) left the band to study for college abroad. However, he still plans to be a part of the band in recording original songs online and hopefully, be able to come back and play for the band again.

Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
of course!!! usually, we play in school fairs and concerts. the most memorable gig for us was the st paul pasig fair 2004. it was the first time that people screamed for us!!! wooh!!!
