heartburn

is a four-piece band from Rovaniemi, Finland. We been playing together since 2002 and done 3 demos. Our style of music is southern rock with a heavy touch. We enjoy doing our own music and playing live.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
HeartBurn is from Rovaniemi, northern part of Finland The band began to play together in the spring of 2002. At first HeartBurn was trio playing covers but we soon became tired of playing the same songs that everybody does. So we started to write our own songs and tried to find our own "band". Soon we realised that trio didn't work for us, so we found a bass player and became a four-piece band. We recorded our first demo in the summer of 2003, with two of our own songs and one cover. We also did gigs, mostly in the northern part of Finland. The other demo was done in the spring of 2004 and included 4 songs. In the summer of 2004 we had a line up change when our bass player J. Niemi had to leave the band. We soon found a replacement when V. Linnala joined the band. We did a couple of gigs in 2004. In the spring we recorded the latest demo (I call the demo Northern Souls). The song American Dream won a national radio contest and got air time. HeartBurn was also picked to lead a project called PopCity2006 with three other bands in the winter of 2005. HeartBurn is also releasing a single and EP in the summer of 2006. Line Up 1: A. Salonen (voc, bass), P. Salonen(gtr),M.Kurkinen (drums) Line Up 2: A. Salonen (voc, gtr), P.
