Headhaunter

Greetings! This page will be dedicated to old recordings we have made throughout the years. Songs that have changed, some live shit and stuff we have never played live! I hope you enjoy it Ps. If the songs sounds horrible. Remember this: Dont blame the band, blame the beer;)
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Bio Headhaunter is all about (loud) metal, beer and smoking. Take some elements of aggressive music like thrash, death, and hardcore, as well as melodic psychedelic stoner rock, mix 'em up, roll 'em, light it, and prepare to get your Head Haunted. Founded in Dordrecht on a cold summer day in 1998, Headhaunter first started off without a drummer. However, soon one was captured and after fixing this initial problem the band was ready to kick ass. Each member brought a different style into the band, resulting in a unique sound that is both loud and well....louder. 4 years, a lot of gigs and several line-up changes later Headhaunter was ready to record their first album, titled 'Visions of Paranoia'. Still drinking beer, banging heads and raising hell, Headhaunter is coming for your souls... The line-up: -Gert-Jan Kruijthof (guitar) -Michael Philippo (vox) -Erik Reppel (battery) -Paul van Son (bass guitar) -Mark Stevens (guitar)
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
When ever we can
Your musical influences
The musical influences of the band are really diverse. We all like all the styles, but we all have a different style we truly love. Which makes our songs really different from each other. I (Mark) love stonerrock (like Kyuss, Unida n Queens of the Stoneage) but also folkmetal (like Mithotyn, Finntroll) Paul loves thrashmetal above all (Slayer, the Haunted ect) Gert-Jan loves Classic rock (like Hendrix, Paige, the Stones) Mike loves grindcore (Macabre, Dying Fetus ect) And Erik loves black metal (Children of Bodom, Dimmu Borgir)and hardcore (Hatebreed, Slapshot ect) In almost every song you can find elements of these styles.
What equipment do you use?
Guitars: Jackson, Maverick, Ibanez, Fender , BC Rich, Gibson, Charvel, Epiphone Amps: Marshall, Soldano, Ampeg Effects n stuff: Roland, Boss, Korg, AKG, Line 6, E Bow, Ernie Ball strings, Snarling Dog, Jim Dunlop, Danelectro
