HateFightHate
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
Formed around the premise of creating heavy music that included all of the influences
brought together by the members, HateFightHate started writing in September of 1999.
The resulting music was a fusion of Pantera style southern groove metal with Relapse
spontaneity and unconventional rhythms, pauses and riffs. The band took an
unconventional approach, and instead of playing shows right away, the band practiced
for several months before going into the studio to record a 4 song demo, before ever
playing a show. This method yielded an extremely tight live band, which was ultimately
what HateFightHate desired. The band's original singer quit to pursue other musical
interests in 2001. John joined shortly there after, bringing new influences and a new
style. The sound evolved further and is as refined as ever with often unpredictable
tempo and dynamics changes, complex riffs and melodic elements. Live performances
are focal point for HateFightHate. The band is as tight live as anyone around, and
presents an energetic, and often interactive stage presence. The music now is
completely uncompromising, and embraces its influences, old and modern, but is
uniquely HateFightHate.
