Haskel Jackson
I've found that so many artists get discouraged as they go to a multitude of different people to get the help they need to perfect their craft. I believed that there was a niche in the music industry that needed to be filled. An artist should be able to stop at ONE place and receive everything from vocal lessons to demo packages, photographs to choreography, artist development to image creation.
That is one reason I created Genesoul Productions and the ADC (Artist Development Company). I believe that there is no reason that an artist shouldn't be able to work with a small team of individuals that are, easily accessible, professional, reliable, and dependable, to become the artist they are destined to be.
My team consists of amazing producers, photographers, choreographers, background singers, biography writers, and much more. I hope you take a minute not only to browse this site, but make an effort to contact us, so that you too can become the artist you deserve to be.
Our vast knowledge and experience in the entertainment business allows us to offer a wide range of services, without compromising the quality of true artistry. We look forward to the opportunity of working with you and enhancing your full potential.
Sincerely,
Haskel JacksonBand/artist history
This young entrepreneur has taken the goal of tackling every aspect of the music industry very seriously. Through collaboration, Haskel and Derrick "DOA" Allen have created a new sound for the music industry. In December of 2000, Desmond Pringle released his debut album "Loyalty" (Tommy Boy Records). Haskel not only wrote the two hits, "Show Love" and "You Are My Everything", but accentuated each song with his own background vocals. Virtues album, "Virtuosity", released in November 2001, has received high praise and recognition. "Gotta Worship" and "Somethin' Bout The Way" are two of Haskels' songs, featured on this Verity Records release. "Gotta Worship" is also featured on WOW Gospel 2002, which has sold over 500,000 copies, achieving Gold status. Haskel was included on the Dr. Cornel West project, "Sketches of My Culture", created and narrated by Dr. Cornel West and produced by DOA. Sony released "Sketches of My Culture" late 2001. Smokies CD debut was released at the end of 2002 on EMI.
Universal describes Haskel best, and his involvement with the band ASL, as background vocalist, exemplifies his diversity. ASL, led by critically acclaimed bass player, Armand Sabal Lecco, has received much recognition from the Hollywood and Los Angeles club scene. They have graced the stage of The Century Club, Barfly, Moomba, and the Temple Bar to name a few.
With his extensive music background, Haskel, has established the ADC (Artist Development Company) and Genesoul Productions. The ADC has been the nesting ground for several upcoming artistes that Haskel has groomed for the music industry. Michael Hilley, Erica Reynolds, and Jessica Reynolds, EMI's newest artist, have been nurtured through the ADC from ground up and are expected to shock the music industry. The tracks created under Genesoul Productions have been tailored to several upcoming artists, creating their own perfect fingerprint for their emergence into the music industry.
In 2004 Haskel wrote "I'll Fly Away", the hit song featured on Raven Symone's debut album, "This Is My Time". The album continues to sell widely nationwide.
An endeavor, which Haskel is extremely excited about, is the completion of his own 12 song project. The album, "I Got News", was not only written by Haskel, but the majority of the album was produced by him also. He's anticipating its release this year.Have you performed in front of an audience?I lead worship every sunday at my church New Dawn Christian Village. I love to lead people into the presence of God. Special moments happen to me on a daily basis. I have the pleasure of owning my own business called Genesoul Productions. Staying up to par with my production and my musical skills is what I work on daily. I am excited about the fact that I could produce any culture of music and nothing will sound the same.
Your musical influences
I love good music. If I can feel the artists' heart in their music, that makes me feel as if they are real and transparent. So artist in particular, Stevie Wonder, Quincy Jones production, Fred Hammond, Disney soundtracks, Oldies, Old school hip hop, and this artist named Haskel JacksonWhat equipment do you use?
When I produce I use a lot of live instrumentation. At my studio I use the triton rack, MPc 2000XL, Logic 6.4Anything else?
