Harmony
Band/artist history
The members of Harmony started their singing together early on in life. All attending Xaverian Brothers High School in Massachusetts, the guys found something in common with each other, the love to sing. They sang together in musicals, liturgies, and everywhere else they could. However, the idea of a group was not achieved until late 1998.
They were a smash hit at the school's local Talent Show performing songs from artists such as Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, and 98 degrees. After the talent show, they proceeded to arrange a National Anthem for the graduation of Xaverian Brothers High School class of 1999.
They were then asked to perform at one of the major beaches along the coast of Massachusetts, Nantasket Beach. They performed songs again from Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, and 98 Degrees again, but added some originality to the set by singing their first original song "You Have My Love". Written by one of the groups members, the song slowed down the tempo and let their harmonies flow. Along with the Pop sound of Backstreet Boys and NSYNC, they brought out the good ol' days with a cover of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" by Simon and Garfunkel.
After the show at Nantasket Beach, Harmony settled down and did a few graduation parties late in the summer before getting ready to head off to college.Have you performed in front of an audience? We play live whenever we can, and we love it. The people really seem to get into the music, and we love to interact with the crowd, and make them part of the music. One special moment, was our first show at a local talent show. . .we had been promoting the show by word of mouth and by emails, and when we were onstage, we had the crowd in a standing ovation. . .it was the most incredible rush.
Your musical influences
Our influences range from person to person in the group, but as a whole, probably Boyz II Men, Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, Shai, mostly dance/pop/Top 40.Anything else?
We would just like to say thank you for all who have done what they have already, and we hope that you guys continue to support us in our everyday adventures. Not bad...you guys have awesome harmony.
