Halfway is a 4 piece out of the San Francisco Bay Area taking influences from grunge,classic rock,jazz,blues,and a slew of others to form their own brand of modern rock.
Band/artist history
danny and kyle have been writing and playing together in projects for about 6 years now...but this specific line up and group formed in june of 2003 although the name carried over from danny and kyle's previous group that never played out. it was geoff and john who completed the group and really made it what it has and is becoming. 4 friends who enjoy writing and playing together and if people can connect with it, bonus.

pearl jam, dredg, tool, jeff buckley, radiohead, moke, buchanan, pink floyd, smashing pumpkins, alice in chains, soundgarden, toad the wet sprocket, genesis, sevendust, miles davis, king's x, a perfect circle, csny, all sorts as you can tell.
What equipment do you use?
currently, geoff is using a shure unidyne 55, a mesa triple rec, mesa cabs and a les paul. john is using ampeg heads, swr cabs and warwick basses, kyle is using gretsch drums and zildjian cymbals and danny is using warmoth, schecter and epiphone guitars, line 6 and mesa amps, and avatar cabs.

well ihate to break it to ya'll or burst your bubble but you sound like ever other early 90's college radio rock and well been there heard that and you know what ahppened to all those bands? yeah they broke up or disappeared bc well cause the 90's ended. welcome to the 21st century. but here's a little pick me up...rock on!!!

thats cool if you dont like it. different strokes. yes its very obvious we were inspired by some early 90's bands, but looking at a lot of the popular music right now such as the strokes and white stripes and such, its not like they are doing anything different but totally ripping off the late 60's mod scene even down to the clothing. fact of the matter is there hasnt been anything new or never been done before since hip hop first hit the scene.
