My name is Amir.  But as a producer, I'm known more commonly as Half Centric.  I started making beats around 2 years ago.  When I first started, the sound was rough and unrefined.  It's still a work in progress, but OH how the music has evolved.  But I won't toot my own horn.  As I post new music, let me know what you think.  Guaranteed, you won't be disappointed. My major influences when it comes to producers are: Kanye West, Just Blaze, Soundtrakk, Pharrell, Madlib, 9th Wonder, Oh No, and Kero One.  Many of my influences as an artist come from Lupe Fiasco, Little Brother, Kanye West, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Common, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Floetry, and De La Soul

What equipment do you use?

I use an M-Audio O2 midi controller, Reason 3.0, Sony Acid Pro 5, and Virtual DJ.
