Gym Class Heroes was formed in the late months of 1997 when four upstate New York high school students collaborated and decided to make music together. Within a few rehearsal sessions, a few songs were written and they had settled on being called "Gym Class Heroes." With a diverse background in musical styles, tastes, listening backgrounds and experience, the band naturally formed a sound, which represented the diversity of the members. The theme of diversity often is attached to the name "Gym Class Heroes" with everything from subject matter of songs, to bands they've shared the stage with. Playing with rock, punk, ska, hip-hop, feminist slam poets, experimental jazz-fusion, and reggae acts, a typical crowd at a GCH show is very diverse.Have you performed in front of an audience?We play live shows very often around the New York and East Coast.
