Bio:
Gwenevered
Gwenevered is one of a kind. Crafting
a multi-faceted sound that mesmerizingly
binds influences from all over into a smooth,
masterfully mixed sound. Gwenevered presents
songs that stun the listener with a warm wave
of originality. Music of such strikingly unique
personality isnt something you come across
every day. Gwenevered, as such, respectfully
is ready for the accolades of musical
connoisseurs everywhere.
Originality
Its best to let Gwenevered do the
describing: I have an alternative pop/folk/rock,
eclectic, eccentric, Middle Eastern, Irish,
Indian and world sensuality unique style.
Such an amalgam may sound ungainly but
it is anything but in the capable hands of this
nimble artist. Gwenevered weaves shocking
tapestries of sound, layering together surprising
mixes of elements. The songs of this artist are
blasts of sheer, stark originality and present
themselves as creations not easily compared
to anything else and totally beyond pigeonholing.
Utmost Emotions
For Gwenevered, music is the
paramount manifestation of human
emotion. Music is the utmost emotional
response that a person can feel.
As evidence, Gwenevered points to
the multiple layers of influence
music can have over a person,
touching everything from mind to toes.
Music moves your soul, your body, your
emotions, your whole life at that moment,
in the moment of a song. Gwenevereds
respect for music and its cosmic role, not
to mention its powerful abilities leads her
to use music at its optimum capabilities,
crafting songs that reach out and touch
the listener on infinite levels, creating
a timeless experience within the playtime
of any of the artists songs.
Passion
Gwenevered will tell you that
passion is an important part of writing
great music. Without that, its just a job
and theres no joy. Without joy, theres
no feeling. Without feeling, its clinical.
You wont make contact with any listeners.
That being the case, its easy to see from
Gwenevereds music that passion at high
voltage is shot into the music during the
creative process. Music is my passion in
life and is my overall direction and gift.
It is my creative outlet to express my feelings
and emotions through my expressive style.
When I write a song, it takes on a life of its
own and it is truly my creative outlet and joy.
Past and Plans
Gwenevered has seen several
songs hit the top 10 list at Broadjam
and also placed tenth in Performer.coms
competition for best female vocalist.
Writing is ongoing with a view to a long
and successful career. An albums worth
of music already exists and more pours
forth every day. Music is always in my
head and fuels my need to express my
feelings, thoughts and passions for life
through my songs. Music is the awareness
of the souls expressiveness. Gwenevered
is currently working with A&R Select, the
leading independent A&R firm in Hollywood, CA.
Review
Frustratingly, no other word comes
to mind but a big, capital-letter, neon WOW
when descriptions of Gwenevereds music are
attempted. A&R Select

Band/artist history
Musical History and Background:
I began studying the flute at age 10.
Enjoyed the experience thoroughly
and excelled at it. While attending
Middle School, I had my first flute solo
playing Greensleeves during our
Christmas concert. In addition to my
flute solo, I also had the opportunity
to sing my first vocal solo in the Choral
Christmas concert and was a member
of various vocal groups in Middle school.
While attending Farmington High
School, I was first & second chair flute
player. In addition, I performed in
several musicals and plays, including
"Leader of Pack", and "The Man Who
Came to Dinner". In the musical
Godspell, I played the part/role
of the mouse and had a soprano solo
singing Oh Bless the Lord my Soul.
Later in High school, I began instruction
under Don Veith, Choral Music Instructor
at Farmington High School. I was an
active member of all High School choral
groups. I performed in the top high school
choral groups and thoroughly enjoyed
my high school musical experiences.
I have sung both soprano and alto parts
and consider myself to have a good ear
for harmonizing.
I was also a member of the Farmington
High school Marching Band, Concert
Band and the Color Guard for 3 years,
and an active member of the Drama
Team and Theatre.
During my first year at Mineral Area
College, I received a fully paid music
scholarship for both my flute playing
and vocal abilities. I then went on to
major in Music, receiving top music
awards with honors, including the
Outstanding Music Achievement award
upon my graduation from Mineral Area
College.
I went on to complete my Bachelor's
degree in Music at Webster University.
I received a music scholarship and a
placement into their vocal music program.
I graduated in 1997 from Webster
Univesity, where I completed and earned
my BA degree in Vocal Performance .
In 2002, I received placement as a
soprano into the St. Louis Symphony
Chorus. I also performed with the
St. Louis Chamber Chorus as a Soprano
in 2002 as well. I no longer sing with
these groups, but am aspiring to
further my musical career.
While I am an aspiring musician &
would like to break into the music biz,
really for me, the most gratifying feeling
is when I share my music with my family
and friends. Once I start on a composition
in one of my original and mysterious styles,
it is as though it takes on a life of its own
& my creation process is truly my outlet
& joy.
