necrotic have been a little reclusive the last 6 months but have started recording again. this time with decent studio equipment going back to their original style a little with more heaviness and influence from death and grind. obviously still keeping the progressive and experimental elements..
please take some time to check out the new mp3 and post some comments on the board. thanks

heilsa!
I always liked you black metal songs much more than your other works.. pretty good stuff, good riffs and excellent vocals.. don't like the double bass that much but your drums are still good work. keep up the good work!

Slay the Gods: The vocals are excellent... and that riff that comes in around 1 minute into the song is extremely captivating. Black Metal guitar-work doesn't get much better than riffs like that. I think the somewhat thundering bass drum helps bolster the overall feeling of the song, giving it a somewhat more "epic" quality.

I quite liked the Darkthrone cover song, and thought Slay The Gods was really good.

Right now I'm listening to Transylvanian Hunger and it sounds close to the original. Anyway I would also like to thank you for putting a message on my message board about your new project Gungnir. I know that my solo project Black Nova isn't completely black metal but like Ragnar once said, a bit of noise and at times I think a bit of dark ambience. My music simply tried to follow the idea of being simplistic and repetitive like most black metal(which I like that in the genre alot.)But anyway, hearing your music makes me feel glad that I got some new equipment for the winter solstice. So good luck with Gungnir and I will now add myself to your mailing list.

By the way, there is already a band that goes by this name...oh well. There are like thirty Leviathans.

Yeah..."Slay the Gods" is badass. It's good enough to rival any of the other black metal guys. Cool drum fill at the end haha. I just don't like the bass drum sound and wish there was a bit more variation in the drums, but the rifflature is awesome--top notch.

f***ing bad ass man! I really enjoyed "Slay the gods".This is the type sh*** im talking bout.I could tell before with some of the music you put up on your original site the direction you were headed firstly with the Burzum cover, which I didnt find as true to Burzum as you coulda been but it sounded dark and you could tell that you do possess Blackness, then when you made the Darkthrone cover thru this Black Metal project,I was happy to hear the guitar sound you had as it did sound to me like you were trying to do a very close sound to the guitar sound that Darkthrone uses. And now you create an original song that lives up to my expectations.Good drum programming firstly, secondly the guitar riffs are excellent and lastly and most importantly in my mind as this is what stands out the greatest to me..The vocals!..Everything blends together well and makes for some good atmosphere.Keep me updated.

Hey dude. You did a great job doing justice to this great black metal song. I really do like it and I prefer the production of this than the original. I'd like to hear some of your original black metal material. Let me know when you get to it. I'd appreciate it if you'd stop by my page to check out my newest song entitled "Drowned in Boiling Water". I'm not just posting to self-promote myself or anything like that. Good work.
Been awhile.. Aurora Borealis sounds pretty good, the slower parts has a smooth flow to it. Had my head moving. Excellent vocals as well. Ive said it before and I'll say it again..I definetly prefer your Black Metal project over your other projects cause you make good Black Metal. Keep me updated on your next upload! Toki-
