guinea pig

I'm just a guy with a couple old Junos, things that look like cash registers and a bunch of guitar pedals. I have no idea what I'm doing and I like it that way

Trance

Guinea pig is just me. I have done 2 person collaborations with other people but they allways end up being freform noise. I don't have a problem with complete improv, in fact my solo stuff is to a certain extend improvised as well. People just never seem to be able to get into the noise stuff live. Fuck em! I still like it.
Band/artist history
Before I ever colaborated with anyone ther was Guinea Pig. My first demos came about when I was being particularly antisocial and my friend went cross country and left me all his old analog music equipment. I went to town on it for months until he came back and had like 10 cassetes worth of material to show for my labors. I have been buying myself neat outdated equipment ever since.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
yes my duo projects (Robotetanus, Sound Asleep) have played out many times at Nietchie's, the Continental, Mohawk Place, Big Orbit, Squeeky Wheel, and at various art exibits. I guess people think our music is more art then music (shrug). I love playing live but as of yet I have been affraid to do any solo work live. Somehow I feel more comfortable with a second person on stage with me. (hint hint, want to find a music parner)
Your musical influences
I would have to say late 70's early 80's plinkity plonkity electronic music. cabaret Voltaire, The Skinny Puppy brap setions, early DAF and Die Form, Throbbing Gristle, and other stuff like that. The funny thing is I never made the Skinny Puppy connection to my music until after a couple friends listened to my tapes and mentioned Back and Forth 2-4. I listened to them and they were right. the resemblances are kinda spooky. too bad I will probably never mature musically like they did.
What equipment do you use?
Roland Juno-60, Electronix-FX, any guitar pedal I can find. Casio keyboard for drums, old 4-tracks and some sampler who's name I forget (it sucks!!!) All my gear is sstuff you probably saw at a garrage sale at one time or another.
Anything else?
I would like to start making contacts with others that are making similar music. I know they are out there but I have no idea where to look. E-MAIL ME!!! http://elisabalazs.com/
