Ground Z-Ro
Ground Z-Ro is made up of D. Moore, Serge, DJ Gunz, Drugz and Murder and Allen Ginnett. D. Moore is a lyrical whiz who is known for his slick word choice and complex metaphors. Big Serge is new on GZR and is str8 sickness as well. Be on the lookout for our up and coming mixtape, "Piff On Plastic".
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
It all started when two teenage kids from anchorage came together through an interest in hip hop and decided to see if they could make their own. After selling their xbox 360, they got the funds to buy some crappy equipment to go on their laptop and see if they could record. After a couple of days of recording they could see that they weren't cut out to be rappers. But a friend of theres(D.Moore)kept on bothering them about recording. So they set up a day and decided to record their friend. That day the now legendary Wrist-Watch(local rap group in anchorage) diss was recorded over a couple of wu-tang beats. When the song was put up on myspace.com, the internet went nutz!...Wristwatch eventually came back but GZR couldnt be denied. Off the momentium of the diss songs and a couple other street-singles, GZR decided to release a small street tape called "So Sincereal Vol.1". The mixtape got great reviews and featured D.Moore, A.Thizzit, Big Maine and Others. After the mixtape was put out, many people wanted to be down with gzr and they started to record their follow-up street mixtape, "The Streetz Iz Buzzin". But due to money problems and departures of other members, GZR had to hold back on recording. Also the equipment they had was holding them back to make any big claim in the game. So GZR went on a little break. During that time GZR was still in the underground puttin it down. D.Moore battled Big D at East High School, Tha Charles Oakley Project entertained people with funny raps, D.Moore went to a real studio and recorded the Info(DIPSET) produced single "Certfied" A.Thizzit kept the streetz on there toes with his controversal lyrics. But now GZR is coming back in a big way. A new studio with professional equipment is here and D.Moore and up and coming new comer Big Serge are hungry and ready to light tracks on fire. Dj Gunz Drugz and Murder will be hosting and making mixes on the ones and twos and Allen Ginnett will be choppin up samples and flipin them with his heatrock production. GZR is about to get serius with this rap game and u better be ready cuz we're coming, GHOST...GZR OUT....(PIFF ON PLASTIC MIXTAPE COMING!)
